Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities affecting Mozilla Thunderbird have been addressed in an update to version 115.12.1. These include use-after-free bugs in networking and JavaScript object transplant, timing attacks leaking external protocol handlers, sandbox bypasses allowing new window openings, cross-origin image leaks via Offscreen Canvas, and memory corruption in text fragments. The update fixes these issues and related memory safety bugs also addressed in Firefox 127 and Firefox ESR 115.12. The update is rated as important by Red Hat and applies to various Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 variants.
