Red Hat has released updated webkit2gtk3 packages (version 2.54.1-1.el9_2 and related) that address these vulnerabilities. Users of affected Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 variants should apply the updates promptly following Red Hat's official guidance at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigations are specified or required beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Red Hat has issued a critical security advisory for webkit2gtk3, addressing multiple vulnerabilities in the ANGLE component used by Chromium-based browsers. These vulnerabilities include arbitrary code execution, information disclosure, use-after-free, buffer overflow, improper input validation, and uninitialized resource issues. The update also fixes a regression affecting Eclipse IDE WebKit-based views on CentOS Stream 9. The advisory covers Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 variants and provides updated packages to remediate these issues.
