Red Hat has released updated webkit2gtk3 packages (version 2.54.1-1.el9_8 and later) that fix these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 should apply these updates promptly to mitigate the risks. For detailed update instructions, refer to the Red Hat advisory at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation actions are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Multiple critical vulnerabilities in the ANGLE component of Chromium-browser, as used in WebKitGTK, allow for arbitrary code execution and information disclosure via various memory corruption and input validation flaws. Red Hat has issued a security advisory with updates to webkit2gtk3 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 to address these issues. The update also fixes a regression affecting Eclipse IDE WebKit-based views on CentOS Stream 9.
