AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated packages for webkit2gtk3 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended Life Cycle and AUS variants that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2025:23967) and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in webkit2gtk3, the GTK port of the WebKit rendering engine. These include a use-after-free due to improper memory management and several issues where processing maliciously crafted web content may cause unexpected process crashes, including crashes in Safari. These vulnerabilities have been addressed in a security update released by Red Hat for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 variants.
