In the meantime, deploying rtl_433 on builds with stack canaries enabled can mitigate the risk of control-flow hijacking. Avoid processing untrusted signal files and limit exposure to untrusted radio signals where possible.

Description

rtl_433 versions through 25.12 have a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the proflame2_mc() function. This flaw allows an attacker within radio range to send more than seven valid Manchester-coded words, overflowing a 7-byte stack buffer. Exploitation can cause rtl_433 to crash and potentially corrupt stack memory, enabling control-flow hijacking on builds lacking stack canaries.
