What to do
AI-suggested
Apply the security update provided by the SUSE Product Security Team that fixes these vulnerabilities. Since the update addresses the issues directly, no additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the patch.
Description
This security update for the poppler library addresses two vulnerabilities: an uncontrolled recursion issue in the regex-based metadata parser triggered by specially crafted PDF files (CVE-2025-43718), and a pointer handling flaw that could cause dangling pointers when resizing vectors (CVE-2025-52885). Both issues have been fixed in this update.
