Apply the security update to TIFF version 4.7.2 or later, which includes fixes for the identified vulnerabilities and multiple memory safety issues. No additional mitigation is required beyond updating to the fixed version.

Description

This security update for the TIFF library addresses multiple vulnerabilities including a heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-2026-12912) when processing crafted PixarLog-compressed TIFF images and a denial of service (CVE-2026-36849) triggered by TIFF files with large SamplesPerPixel tag values. The update also includes numerous bug fixes and improvements related to memory safety, integer overflow checks, and error handling. These fixes improve the robustness of TIFF processing and prevent potential crashes or memory corruption.
