A security update for wget has been released that fixes these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the official patches provided by the SUSE Product Security Team to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the update.
Description
This security update for wget addresses multiple vulnerabilities including server-side request forgery via unvalidated IP addresses in FTP PASV responses, heap buffer underreads from Metalink documents with whitespace-only URLs, integer overflow from server-controlled Content-Range headers, heap memory corruption from character set conversion of server-supplied filenames, and heap buffer overflow from crafted HTML attributes requiring entity encoding. Additional fixes address segmentation faults and regressions related to Metalink processing.
