: Session Fixation / Session Reuse across Users vulnerability in Apache Jackrabbit. (CVE-2026-92414)
Description
Apache Jackrabbit versions 2.20.0 through 2.20.17, 2.22.0 through 2.22.4, and 2.23.0 through 2.23.5 contain a session fixation and session reuse vulnerability. The WebDAV server component improperly attaches cached authenticated sessions based on token matches without verifying credentials. This allows potential session reuse across users. Fixed versions 2.20.18, 2.22.5, and 2.23.6 address this issue.

Technical Analysis
The vulnerability in Apache Jackrabbit's WebDAV server allows session fixation or session reuse across users due to the server attaching cached authenticated sessions when Lock-Token, TransactionId, SubscriptionId, or If-header tokens match, without performing credential checks. This affects versions 2.20.0 to 2.20.17, 2.22.0 to 2.22.4, and 2.23.0 to 2.23.5. The issue is resolved in versions 2.20.18, 2.22.5, and 2.23.6.
Potential Impact
An attacker could reuse or fixate sessions across users, potentially gaining unauthorized access to authenticated sessions without proper credential verification. This could lead to unauthorized actions or data exposure within affected Apache Jackrabbit WebDAV servers.
Mitigation Recommendations
Users should upgrade affected Apache Jackrabbit versions to 2.20.18, 2.22.5, or 2.23.6 where the vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigations are specified.
