AI-suggested
A security update addressing this vulnerability is available. Users should apply the official patch provided by the vendor. The Red Hat advisory references an update in Red Hat build of Quarkus 3.33.3.SP2 that includes security fixes. No indication of 'no action required' or 'already mitigated' is present, so applying the vendor's update is recommended.
Description
Netty's HTTP decoder skips strict validation of chunk size lines when no chunk extension is present, allowing malformed chunk size lines containing embedded bare carriage return characters to be accepted. This behavior violates RFC 9112's chunk-size syntax and enables HTTP request smuggling attacks.
