What to do

AI-suggested

Users should monitor the vendor's advisories for updates addressing this vulnerability. Until a fix is available, restricting access to the affected functionality or implementing additional access controls may reduce exposure. Since this is a capability check omission, applying principle of least privilege and hardening WordPress installations is advisable.

Description

The AppPresser Mobile App Framework plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability in all versions up to and including 4.5.0. A missing capability check in the 'myappp_verify' function allows unauthenticated attackers to access sensitive data such as plugin and theme names and version numbers. This information could aid attackers in crafting targeted attacks against outdated or vulnerable components.
