CVE-2026-105193: CWE-326 Inadequate Encryption Strength in Booking Calendar
Description
The Booking Calendar WordPress plugin versions before 11.8 generate per-booking access hashes using a low-entropy, time-seeded value. This weak entropy allows unauthenticated attackers who can determine a booking's creation time to predict the access hash. Consequently, attackers may read or modify personal booking data without authorization.

Technical Analysis
The Booking Calendar WordPress plugin prior to version 11.8 suffers from insufficient entropy in generating per-booking access hashes. These hashes are derived from a low-entropy time-seeded value, making them predictable if an attacker knows the booking creation time. This vulnerability enables unauthenticated attackers to guess the access hash, potentially allowing unauthorized reading or modification of booking personal data.
Potential Impact
Unauthenticated attackers who can estimate or know the booking creation time can predict the access hash used to protect booking data. This can lead to unauthorized disclosure of personal information and unauthorized modification of booking details, compromising user privacy and data integrity.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade the Booking Calendar WordPress plugin to version 11.8 or later, where this issue is fixed by using stronger entropy for access hash generation. No other mitigation guidance is provided. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the input data; check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance.
