Published: 10/08/2026 (10/08/2026, 06:00:06 UTC)
Source: GCVE Database
Product: Booking Calendar

Description

The Booking Calendar WordPress plugin versions before 11.8.3 contain a vulnerability that allows users with Editor role and above to access arbitrary WordPress option values. This occurs because the plugin does not properly restrict which options lower-privileged users can load through one of its settings handlers. Technical Analysis

The Booking Calendar WordPress plugin prior to version 11.8.3 has an insufficient access control vulnerability in one of its settings handlers. This flaw permits users with the Editor role or higher to retrieve the values of arbitrary WordPress options, including core site configuration settings. The vulnerability arises from inadequate restrictions on which options can be loaded by lower-privileged users, potentially exposing sensitive configuration information.

Potential Impact

Users with Editor role and above can disclose arbitrary WordPress option values, including core site configuration data. This could lead to information disclosure that may aid further attacks or compromise site security. There is no indication of remote code execution or privilege escalation beyond information disclosure.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade the Booking Calendar WordPress plugin to version 11.8.3 or later, where this access control issue is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated. Patch status is confirmed by the version boundary provided in the description.
