Technical Analysis

The Dopup module, which facilitates selection and interaction with Webforms in Drupal, contains an access control flaw. Specifically, it does not adequately verify entity access permissions in certain scenarios, potentially allowing unauthorized users to view the titles of Webforms that are intended to be private. This information disclosure vulnerability affects all versions before 1.0.7. The vendor has released a patch to fix this issue.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability may result in unauthorized disclosure of private Webform titles. While this does not expose the full content of the Webforms, it could reveal sensitive metadata that was intended to remain confidential. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available for this vulnerability. Users should upgrade the Dopup module to version 1.0.7 or later to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
