Technical Analysis

The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin versions prior to 3.7.46 contain an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) where a REST route listing an author's courses is accessible without authentication. Furthermore, the route does not filter courses by their publication status, enabling unauthenticated users to retrieve metadata such as titles and IDs of unpublished courses (draft, pending, private). This exposure could reveal sensitive course development information.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can obtain the titles and IDs of unpublished courses, potentially exposing sensitive or confidential course content planning information. There is no impact on integrity or availability reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, consider restricting access to the affected REST route through custom access controls or disabling the route if feasible.
