Until a patch is available, avoid using vulnerable versions or mitigate by controlling input to regcomp to prevent triggering the double free condition.

Description

CVE-2025-8058 is a vulnerability in the regcomp function of the GNU C library versions 2.4 through 2.41. It involves a double free condition triggered when a previous memory allocation fails, either due to malloc failure or an interposed malloc causing random failures. This flaw can lead to buffer manipulation depending on the regex construction. It affects all architectures and ABIs supported by the GNU C library.
