Description

Forescout researchers discovered 15 vulnerabilities in the TP-Link Omada zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) system, which automates configuration of network devices. The flaws include hardcoded keys, insecure credential transmission, weak certificate validation, race conditions, cross-site scripting, predictable serial numbers, and default credentials. Some vulnerabilities can be chained to gain administrative control of cloud controllers and internal networks, potentially leading to root-level execution on managed devices. TP-Link has issued patches for some issues but plans to address structural weaknesses later in 2026; some low-severity issues remain unpatched.
