AI-suggested

A fix is available in Vikunja version 2.7.1 and later. Users should upgrade to version 2.7.1 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. Until upgraded, restrict authenticated CalDAV client access to trusted users only.

Description

Vikunja versions prior to 2.7.1 have a vulnerability that allows authenticated CalDAV clients to cause uncontrolled resource consumption. By sending VTODO requests with thousands of RELATED-TO properties, attackers can create a large number of dummy tasks and related database entries. This results in database bloat and overload of the event processing pipeline.
