Technical Analysis

YesWiki before version 4.6.7 contains an access control bypass vulnerability (CVE-2026-104455) that enables unauthenticated attackers to access restricted page content. The issue arises through the recentchangesrssplus RSS action, where attackers can request the XML method of a page hosting this action to obtain excerpts of up to 500 characters from the latest pages. This includes content that should be read-restricted, such as drafts and notes. The vulnerability is classified under CWE-200 (Exposure of Sensitive Information).

Potential Impact

An attacker without authentication can read excerpts of restricted content on YesWiki instances running vulnerable versions. This exposure includes drafts and notes that are intended to be access-controlled, potentially leading to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information. The vulnerability does not impact integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in YesWiki version 4.6.7. Users should upgrade to version 4.6.7 or later to remediate this access control bypass vulnerability. No other mitigation details are provided.
