The Qualys Cloud Agent included a bundled uninstall script (qagent_uninstall.sh), specific to Mac and Linux supported versions that invoked multiple system commands without using absolute paths and without sanitizing the $PATH environment. If the uninstall script is executed with elevated privileges (e.g., via sudo) in an environment where $PATH has been manipulated, an attacker with root/sudo privileges could cause malicious executables to be run in place of the intended system binaries. This behavior can be leveraged for local privilege escalation and arbitrary command execution under elevated privileges.
EndClient RAT is a newly identified Remote Access Trojan attributed to the North Korean Kimsuky group, targeting human rights defenders. Delivered via a signed Microsoft Installer package disguised as 'StressClear.msi', it uses AutoIT scripts for execution and establishes persistence through scheduled tasks and startup folder entries. The malware communicates with its command and control server using a custom protocol with JSON markers, enabling remote shell access, file upload/download, and system reconnaissance. It employs in-memory modules for binary search, Base64 encoding/decoding, and LZMA decompression to evade detection. Detection rates are currently low, increasing the risk of undetected compromise. While primarily targeting North Korean human rights defenders, the malware's capabilities pose risks to any organization with similar exposure or interest. No known exploits in the wild have been reported yet, but the threat is medium severity due to its stealth and persistence mechanisms.
The service Bizerba Communication Server (BCS) has an unquoted service path. Due to the way Windows searches the executable for the BCS service, malicious programs can be executed.
A reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Revive Adserver version 5.5.2. The session cookie cannot be accessed, but a number of other operations could be performed.
The vulnerability is present in the admin-search.php file and can be exploited via the compact parameter.
CVE-2025-62776 is a high-severity vulnerability in the installer of Wireless Tsukamoto Co. , Ltd. 's WTW EAGLE (for Windows) version 3.0.8.0. It involves an uncontrolled search path element that can cause the application to load malicious DLLs. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the running installer, potentially compromising system confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction but no prior authentication. Although no known exploits are currently in the wild, the vulnerability poses a significant risk, especially in environments where this software is used.
DLL hijacking vulnerability in Evope Collector 1.1.6.9.0 and related components load the wtsapi32.dll library from an uncontrolled search path (C:\ProgramData\Evope). This allows local unprivileged attackers to execute arbitrary code or escalate privileges to SYSTEM by placing a crafted DLL in that location. The vulnerable component is Evope.Service.exe, which runs with SYSTEM privileges and automatically loads the DLL on startup or reboot.
A weakness has been identified in Hasleo Backup Suite up to 5.2. Impacted is an unknown function of the component HasleoImageMountService/HasleoBackupSuiteService. This manipulation causes unquoted search path. The attack is restricted to local execution. The attack's complexity is rated as high. The exploitability is considered difficult. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be exploited. Upgrading the affected component is advised.
The 'HijackServer' malicious IIS module is actively compromising IIS servers by exploiting exposed ASP . NET machine keys, enabling unauthenticated remote command execution. This threat, attributed to the RudePanda group, uses a customized rootkit and off-the-shelf tools to maintain persistent access. While primarily used to manipulate search engine results for cryptocurrency scams, the module's capabilities allow attackers or third parties to conduct espionage or build malicious infrastructure. Hundreds of servers worldwide have been affected, indicating a broad impact. The exploitation does not require authentication, and the attack leverages a critical misconfiguration or exposure of sensitive cryptographic keys. European organizations running IIS with exposed ASP . NET machine keys are at risk, especially those in countries with high IIS usage and strategic value. Mitigation requires immediate review and protection of ASP . NET machine keys, deployment of advanced monitoring for rootkit activity, and hardening of IIS configurations.
A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Bhabishya-123 E-commerce 1.0, specifically within the search endpoint. Unsanitized input in the /search parameter is directly reflected back into the response HTML, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of a user who visits a malicious link or submits a crafted request.
A recent malware campaign uses SEO poisoning on Bing to distribute a trojanized Ivanti Pulse Secure VPN client via lookalike domains. Users are tricked into downloading a malicious MSI installer that steals VPN credentials from the connectionstore.dat file. Stolen credentials are exfiltrated to a command and control server hosted on Azure infrastructure. The attack employs signed executables and referrer-based conditional content delivery to evade detection. This credential theft technique has been linked to subsequent Akira ransomware deployments. Organizations are advised to implement multi-factor authentication, conduct user awareness training, and monitor for suspicious network and endpoint activity. No CVE or known exploits in the wild are reported yet. The threat poses a medium severity risk due to credential compromise and potential ransomware follow-on attacks. European organizations using Ivanti Pulse Secure VPN are at risk, especially in countries with high adoption of this VPN solution and critical infrastructure sectors.
