This issue is addressed by a security update from Red Hat for the mariadb:10.3 module on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4. The update fixes the vulnerability by correcting the path validation flaw in the mariadb-dump utility. | GCVE Database

| Medium | – | EPSS 0.2% | MediumEPSS 0.2%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2025-40225 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix kernel panic on partial unmap of a GPU VA region This commit address a kernel panic issue that can happen if Userspace tries to partially unmap a GPU virtual region (aka drm_gpuva). The VM_BIND interface allows partial unmapping of a BO. Panthor driver pre-allocates memory for the new drm_gpuva structures that would be needed for the map/unmap operation, done using drm_gpuvm layer. It expected that only one new drm_gpuva would be needed on umap but a partial unmap can require 2 new drm_gpuva and that's why it ended up doing a NULL pointer dereference causing a kernel panic. Following dump was seen when partial unmap was exercised. | –Not rated | – | AlienVault OTX General The ToddyCat APT group has developed advanced tools and techniques to covertly access corporate email data by targeting both on-premises Outlook OST files and Microsoft 365 cloud environments. Their toolkit includes PowerShell-based TomBerBil for extracting browser data, TCSectorCopy for copying Outlook OST files, and methods to steal OAuth tokens from Microsoft 365 processes. They leverage SMB for remote file access, dump process memory, and search for access tokens to bypass security monitoring. These tactics enable stealthy data theft of sensitive email content and credentials. Detection guidance is available for each technique to help defenders identify and mitigate these intrusions. The threat is assessed as medium severity due to the complexity and targeted nature of the attacks, with no known exploits in the wild yet. European organizations using Microsoft 365 and Outlook are at risk, especially those with valuable email communications and cloud integrations. | AlienVault OTX General | |||

They make sure the newsk will end up being correctly free'd. tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() makes this very clear by having the put_and_exit label that takes care of things. So, this patch here makes sure tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock and tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock have similar error-handling and thus fixes the leak for TCP-AO. EPSS 0.1%Vulnerability | GCVE Database

AFAICS this has the same issue as the one resolved in the conntrack dumper, when we do if (!refcount_inc_not_zero(&exp->use)) to increment the refcount, there is a chance that exp == last, which causes a double-increment of the refcount and subsequent memory leak. | –Not rated | – | AlienVault OTX General A data breach attributed to a North Korean-affiliated actor known as "Kim" has provided new insights into Kimsuky (APT43) tactics and infrastructure. The actor's operations focus on credential-based intrusions targeting South Korean and Taiwanese networks, utilizing Chinese-language tools and infrastructure. The leaked data includes bash histories, phishing domains, OCR workflows, compiled stagers, and rootkit evidence, revealing a hybrid operation between DPRK attribution and Chinese resource utilization. The actor demonstrated sophisticated credential harvesting techniques, including targeting South Korea's Government Public Key Infrastructure (GPKI) and reconnaissance of Taiwanese government and academic institutions. The leak exposes the evolution of DPRK cyber capabilities and highlights the complex attribution challenges in modern nation-state cyber operations. | AlienVault OTX General

| High | 7.8 | EPSS 0.2% | CVE-2025-38470Linux kernel · net: vlan: fix VLAN 0 refcount imbalance of toggling filtering during runtime High7.8EPSS 0.2%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2025-38470 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: vlan: fix VLAN 0 refcount imbalance of toggling filtering during runtime Assuming the "rx-vlan-filter" feature is enabled on a net device, the 8021q module will automatically add or remove VLAN 0 when the net device is put administratively up or down, respectively. There are a couple of problems with the above scheme. The first problem is a memory leak that can happen if the "rx-vlan-filter" feature is disabled while the device is running: # ip link add bond1 up type bond mode 0 # ethtool -K bond1 rx-vlan-filter off # ip link del dev bond1 When the device is put administratively down the "rx-vlan-filter" feature is disabled, so the 8021q module will not remove VLAN 0 and the memory will be leaked [1]. Another problem that can happen is that the kernel can automatically delete VLAN 0 when the device is put administratively down despite not adding it when the device was put administratively up since during that time the "rx-vlan-filter" feature was disabled. null-ptr-unref or bug_on[2] will be triggered by unregister_vlan_dev() for refcount imbalance if toggling filtering during runtime: $ ip link add bond0 type bond mode 0 $ ip link add link bond0 name vlan0 type vlan id 0 protocol 802.1q $ ethtool -K bond0 rx-vlan-filter off $ ifconfig bond0 up $ ethtool -K bond0 rx-vlan-filter on $ ifconfig bond0 down $ ip link del vlan0 Root cause is as below: step1: add vlan0 for real_dev, such as bond, team. register_vlan_dev vlan_vid_add(real_dev,htons(ETH_P_8021Q),0) //refcnt=1 step2: disable vlan filter feature and enable real_dev step3: change filter from 0 to 1 vlan_device_event vlan_filter_push_vids ndo_vlan_rx_add_vid //No refcnt added to real_dev vlan0 step4: real_dev down vlan_device_event vlan_vid_del(dev, htons(ETH_P_8021Q), 0); //refcnt=0 vlan_info_rcu_free //free vlan0 step5: delete vlan0 unregister_vlan_dev BUG_ON(!vlan_info); //vlan_info is null Fix both problems by noting in the VLAN info whether VLAN 0 was automatically added upon NETDEV_UP and based on that decide whether it should be deleted upon NETDEV_DOWN, regardless of the state of the "rx-vlan-filter" feature.
