A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If a remote attacker gains an administrator account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to modify memory or crash processes.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions:
QTS 5.2.7.3256 build 20250913 and later
QuTS hero h5.2.7.3256 build 20250913 and later
QuTS hero h5.3.1.3250 build 20250912 and later
NSF Unidata NetCDF-C Time Unit Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of NSF Unidata NetCDF-C. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of time units. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Was ZDI-CAN-27273.

wb2osz/direwolf (Dire Wolf) versions up to and including 1.8.1, prior to commit 694c954, contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the function kiss_rec_byte() located in src/kiss_frame.c. When processing crafted KISS frames that reach the maximum allowed frame length (MAX_KISS_LEN), the function appends a terminating FEND byte without reserving sufficient space in the stack buffer. This results in an out-of-bounds write followed by an out-of-bounds read during the subsequent call to kiss_unwrap(), leading to stack memory corruption or application crashes. This vulnerability may allow remote unauthenticated attackers to trigger a denial-of-service condition.
CVE-2025-8065 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the ONVIF SOAP XML Parser of TP-Link Tapo C200 V3 and C520WS v2.6 devices. The flaw occurs when the parser processes XML tags with namespace prefixes without validating the prefix length before copying it to a fixed-size stack buffer. This allows an unauthenticated attacker on the same local network to send a crafted SOAP request with an oversized namespace prefix, causing memory corruption on the stack. Exploitation can lead to remote code execution with elevated privileges, resulting in full device compromise. The vulnerability has a high severity score of 8.7. No patch or official remediation information is currently provided by the vendor, and no known exploits are reported in the wild.
rofl0r/proxychains-ng versions up to and including 4.17 and prior to commit cc005b7 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the function proxy_from_string() located in src/libproxychains.c. When parsing crafted proxy configuration entries containing overly long username or password fields, the application may write beyond the bounds of fixed-size stack buffers, leading to memory corruption or crashes. This vulnerability may allow denial of service and, under certain conditions, could be leveraged for further exploitation depending on the execution environment and applied mitigations.
merbanan/rtl_433 versions up to and including 25.02 and prior to commit 25e47f8 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the function parse_rfraw() located in src/rfraw.c. When processing crafted or excessively large raw RF input data, the application may write beyond the bounds of a stack buffer, resulting in memory corruption or a crash. This vulnerability can be exploited to cause a denial of service and, under certain conditions, may be leveraged for further exploitation depending on the execution environment and available mitigations.
There is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in NI LabVIEW in LVResFile::FindRsrcListEntry() when parsing a corrupted VI file. This vulnerability may result in information disclosure or arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to get a user to open a specially crafted VI. This vulnerability affects NI LabVIEW 2025 Q3 (25.3) and prior versions.
PCMan FTP Server 2.0 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the 'pwd' command that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Attackers can send a specially crafted payload during the FTP login process to overwrite memory and potentially gain system access.
Several stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities exists in the MFER parsing functionality of The Biosig Project libbiosig 3.9.1. A specially crafted MFER file can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger these vulnerabilities. When Tag is 133
