CVE-2026-7686 is a medium-severity vulnerability in eyeo Adblock Plus versions up to 4.36.2 on Chrome. It involves improper access controls in the legacy Premium activation flow via the postMessage function in premium.preload.js. The vulnerability allows remote manipulation resulting in issuance of a short-lived trial license, but does not grant permanent Premium access. The vendor has deprecated this legacy flow in favor of a new user account-based licensing system. The exploit has been publicly disclosed but has not been weaponized at scale, and the risk to users is minimal.
