LMCache versions through 0.5.5 have a missing authentication vulnerability in the multiprocess coordinator. This flaw allows remote unauthenticated attackers to access the HTTP fleet control API, which listens on all interfaces by default. Attackers can manipulate instances, quotas, events, and enumerate keys, potentially disrupting caching operations and exposing placement metadata. LMCache versions through 0.5.5 have a missing authentication vulnerability in the multiprocess mode HTTP server. This flaw allows remote unauthenticated attackers to access management endpoints that listen on all interfaces by default. Attackers can retrieve sensitive environment credentials and configuration data, clear caches, delete cache objects, and modify tenant quotas to evict cached data belonging to other tenants. LMCache versions through 0.5.5 have a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the frontend monitoring service. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass the proxy allowlist by registering arbitrary hosts via a POST request to /api/proxies. Subsequently, attackers can use the /proxy or /proxy2 endpoints to access internal hosts, read their responses, and interfere with node operations or heartbeat signals.
