CVE-2026-80099: CWE-287 Improper Authentication in Newfold WP Plugin WebCVE-2026-80099 0 Several Newfold WordPress plugins, including WP Plugin Web, suffer from an authentication bypass vulnerability due to improper handling of an HMAC-style Bearer token in the bundled wp-module-data module. When the module's authentication token retrieval fails, the token comparison degenerates to a constant hash, allowing unauthenticated attackers to generate valid tokens offline. This flaw enables attackers to impersonate an administrator user, granting full administrative access and allowing arbitrary REST API operations such as creating new admin accounts and complete site takeover. The vulnerability affects multiple plugin versions up to and including 2.9.4 of the affected module and specific plugin versions listed.
