0 zrok is software for sharing web services, files, and network resources. From 0.4.23 until 2.0.3, `zrok2 copy` stores attacker-controlled WebDAV or zrok drive paths such as /../outside.txt in the source inventory and passes them to FilesystemTarget.WriteStream, allowing the sync pipeline to write files outside the selected local filesystem destination root. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.3. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 07/16/2026, 16:45:52 UTC Added: 07/16/2026, 17:04:13 UTC |
CVE-2026-42275 is a high-severity vulnerability in openziti zrok prior to version 2.0.2. The zrok WebDAV drive backend improperly handles symbolic links, allowing remote WebDAV clients to access files outside the intended shared directory. This occurs because while path traversal is restricted via lexical normalization, symlink following is not prevented. As a result, attackers can read and potentially write or overwrite files anywhere accessible to the zrok process if OS-level permissions are not restrictive. The issue has been addressed in version 2.0.2. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 05/08/2026, 03:45:57 UTC Added: 05/08/2026, 03:51:29 UTC |
zrok is software for sharing web services, files, and network resources. Prior to version 2.0.1, the unaccess handler (controller/unaccess.go) contains a logical error in its ownership guard: when a frontend record has environment_id = NULL (the marker for admin-created global frontends), the condition short-circuits to false and allows the deletion to proceed without any ownership verification. A non-admin user who knows a global frontend token can call DELETE /api/v2/unaccess with any of their own environment IDs and permanently delete the global frontend, taking down all public shares routed through it. Version 2.0.1 patches the issue. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 04/17/2026, 21:04:23 UTC Added: 04/17/2026, 21:38:06 UTC |
