CVE-2026-81192: CWE-426: Untrusted Search Path in open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contribCVE-2026-81192 0 The OpenTelemetry.Resources.Host NuGet package for opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib on macOS is vulnerable to an untrusted search path issue. Prior to version 1.16.0-beta.2, the host.id resource detector launches 'sh' and 'ioreg' executables by name without absolute paths, relying on the PATH environment variable. This allows a local attacker with limited privileges who can manipulate PATH or write to directories earlier in PATH to execute arbitrary code with the application's privileges. This vulnerability affects only macOS hosts. Version 1.16.0-beta.2 includes a patch. No workarounds are known.
