CVE-2026-59950: CWE-346: Origin Validation Error in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-59950 0 The MCP Python SDK (mcp on PyPI) prior to version 1.28.1 contains an origin validation error in its deprecated websocket_server transport. This transport accepted WebSocket handshakes without validating the Host or Origin headers, allowing connections from any origin. The issue is fixed in version 1.28.1. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 7.6. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 07/15/2026, 20:08:54 UTC Added: 07/15/2026, 20:48:22 UTC |
CVE-2026-52870: CWE-862: Missing Authorization in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-52870 0 The MCP Python SDK (modelcontextprotocol python-sdk) versions from 1.23.0 up to but not including 1.27.2 contain a missing authorization vulnerability. Default handlers for task-related operations do not associate tasks with the creating session, allowing any connected client to access or manipulate other clients' tasks. This issue allows enumeration, reading results, consuming messages, or canceling tasks belonging to other clients. The vulnerability is fixed starting from version 1.27.2. CVE-2026-52869: CWE-639: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-52869 0 A vulnerability in the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Python SDK prior to version 1.27.2 allows authorization bypass. The issue occurs because certain transports route requests to sessions based solely on session identifiers without verifying the authenticated user who created the session. This enables an attacker with a known session ID and bearer token to inject JSON-RPC messages into another user's session. The vulnerability is fixed in version 1.27.2.
