A buffer overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel's can: etas_es58x driver was resolved by adding a proper ndo_change_mtu() handler. The flaw allowed attackers with local privileges to set an invalid MTU on the CAN interface, bypassing checks and injecting malicious CAN XL frames that the driver could misinterpret, leading to a buffer overflow.
