A use-after-free vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's at91-sama5d2_adc driver. The flaw occurs when scheduled work referencing a device structure is executed after the device has been freed during module removal, potentially leading to use of freed memory. This issue was resolved by ensuring that scheduled work is canceled before device cleanup proceeds. The vulnerability affects certain Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.0-1105.112~20.04.1 and related builds. A patch is available and included in updated Linux kernel packages. Users should update and reboot to apply the fix. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 02/04/2026, 17:16:00 UTC Added: 07/18/2026, 11:29:39 UTC |
