A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Btrfs file system was resolved that involved improper freeing of reserved quota group data during fallback from inline extent creation when encountering a -ENOSPC error. The vulnerability (CVE-2025-71269) in the Linux kernel's Btrfs file system occurs when an attempt to create an inline extent fails with a -ENOSPC (no space) error.
