0 Coraza WAF versions 3.0.0 through 3.7.0 contain an off-by-one error in the jsDecode transformation when parsing JavaScript octal escape sequences. This bug causes the WAF to incorrectly decode octal escapes, resulting in null bytes instead of the intended decoded characters. Attackers can exploit this to bypass WAF rules relying on jsDecode normalization, enabling attacks such as cross-site scripting (XSS) or SQL injection. The issue is fixed in versions 3.8.0 and later.
