FFmpeg versions through 9.0.2 have an uninitialized memory disclosure vulnerability in the function av_dynamic_hdr_plus_to_t35(). This flaw causes up to three payload bytes to remain uninitialized when the tone_mapping_flag is set to 0. An attacker can exploit this by supplying crafted Matroska T.35 BlockAdditional or HEVC/AV1 SEI metadata, causing remuxing or transcoding operations to write leaked process memory into output files. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 3.3. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 10/08/2026, 18:32:28 UTC Added: 10/08/2026, 21:45:59 UTC |
