FileRun up to and including version 2026.2.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code remotely. The vulnerability arises because the thumbnail generation system passes filenames directly to exec() without proper sanitization, enabling shell command substitution sequences in filenames to be executed. This affects the processing of files by tools like ffmpeg, ImageMagick, vips, or stl-thumb during thumbnail generation.
