A memory leak vulnerability in the AMD SoC ALSA (ASoC) driver for the acp3x PDM DMA operations in the Linux kernel was identified and resolved. This issue is tracked as CVE-2026-23190. The vulnerability affects certain Linux kernel versions prior to specific patched releases. The flaw could lead to resource exhaustion impacting system availability. The issue has been addressed in updated Linux kernel packages provided by Ubuntu. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions and reboot to apply the changes. Due to an ABI change, recompilation and reinstallation of third-party kernel modules may be necessary after updating.
