A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the AMD GPU driver was resolved by reverting a commit that caused crashes on systems with two AMD GPUs where only one supports ASPM. This issue led to very hard to debug crashes but did not impact confidentiality or integrity. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.5 and affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 6.8.0-1057.60~22.04.1 and similar builds. A patch is available and included in updated Linux kernel packages. Users should update and reboot to apply the fix. The update requires recompilation of third-party kernel modules due to an ABI change. No known exploits are reported in the wild.
