Red Hat Security Advisory: Red Hat build of OpenTelemetry 3.9.3 releaseCVE-2026-4878 0 The Red Hat build of OpenTelemetry 3. 9. 3 release addresses multiple security vulnerabilities including a TOCTOU race condition in libcap's cap_set_file() function that could lead to privilege escalation, an integer overflow in Apache Thrift TFramedTransport Go implementation causing denial of service, denial of service issues in Go crypto/x509 and crypto/tls packages due to excessive intermediate certificates, a TLS 1. 3 connection deadlock vulnerability causing resource exhaustion, and an IPC API vulnerability in systemd that could enable arbitrary code execution or denial of service. All these vulnerabilities have been fixed in this release. There are no breaking changes or deprecations, but a known issue exists with the filesystem scraper metrics after upgrading. No known exploits in the wild have been reported. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 05/06/2026, 13:54:24 UTC Added: 05/26/2026, 20:58:37 UTC |
