CVE-2026-42499: CWE-407: Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity in Go standard library net/mailCVE-2026-42499 0 A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the net/mail package of the Go standard library due to inefficient parsing of pathological email addresses by the consumePhrase function. This flaw can cause excessive resource consumption, leading to application unavailability. The vulnerability has a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.5 (high severity). Red Hat has identified affected versions including golang1.25 and golang1.26 packages in their Hardened Images. Currently, no fix meeting Red Hat's criteria for ease of deployment and stability is available, and mitigation options are limited.
