GHSA-7cmj-v6x8-frvv: org.hl7.fhir.core: ReDoS via FHIRPath matches()/replaceMatches() in FHIR Validator HTTP EndpointCVE-2026-49485 0 A vulnerability in the FHIRPathEngine implementations of org.hl7.fhir.core allows attackers to supply crafted regular expressions to FHIRPath functions matches(), matchesFull(), and replaceMatches(), causing catastrophic backtracking. This leads to CPU exhaustion and denial-of-service conditions. The utility intended to limit regex execution time does not fully prevent resource exhaustion due to incomplete coverage and inability to interrupt regex processing. This affects versions prior to 6.9.9 and before 6.9.4.2 of the affected product. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/09/2026, 13:43:03 UTC Added: 07/10/2026, 09:26:32 UTC |
