GHSA-gjrg-jjr3-56cm: GoBGP: BGP OPEN capability parser may read capability values outside declared CapLen boundariesCVE-2026-49837
0

GoBGP versions prior to 4.6.0 contain a vulnerability in the BGP OPEN capability parser where certain capability decoders read beyond the declared capability length boundary (CapLen). This can cause bytes from subsequent capabilities to be incorrectly parsed as part of the current capability, notably affecting the 4-octet AS capability when CapLen is zero. This parsing flaw may impact peer AS validation and capability negotiation during BGP session establishment but does not lead to memory corruption, remote code execution, or information disclosure.
