GHSA-84hp-mqvj-3p8h: mcp-memory-service: Missing Authentication on Document API Endpoints Allows Unauthenticated Memory Read/Write/DeleteCVE-2026-50027 0 The mcp-memory-service contains a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in its Document API endpoints under /api/documents/*. These endpoints lack any authentication checks, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to read, write, and delete memory data arbitrarily. This occurs despite the service being configured with API key or OAuth authentication, which is correctly enforced on the related /api/memories endpoints. The vulnerability enables unauthorized data manipulation, including deletion of authenticated users' stored memories. The issue stems from missing authentication dependencies in the documents.py router. A proof-of-concept demonstrates full exploitation without credentials. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-50027 with a CVSS 3.1 base score of 9.8 (critical). Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/02/2026, 15:26:23 UTC Added: 07/02/2026, 22:57:33 UTC |
