A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/802/mrp component involves incorrect parsing of vector attributes in the mrp_pdu_parse_vecattr function. The flaw causes improper decrementing of event counters and incorrect handling of attribute values, leading to corrupted parsing of MRP protocol data units. This can result in denial of service due to malformed input causing parser state corruption.
