In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/ionic: bound node_desc sysfs read with %.64s node_desc[64] in struct… (CVE-2026-53371)CVE-2026-53371 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA ionic driver involves improper handling of the node_desc field in the ib_device structure. The node_desc array is not guaranteed to be NUL-terminated, but the ionic hca_type_show() handler uses an unbounded string format specifier, potentially causing it to read beyond the intended buffer. This issue can be triggered by userspace via IB_DEVICE_MODIFY_NODE_DESC. The vulnerability has been resolved by bounding the format specifier to match the core handler's safe usage.
