free5GC AUSF: null byte injection in supiOrSuci causes HTTP 500 internal service failure (CVE-2026-53551)CVE-2026-53551 0 free5GC AUSF version prior to 4.2.2 improperly handles the supiOrSuci field in UE authentication requests by not validating or escaping null bytes and control characters. This leads to malformed URLs when the AUSF forwards requests to the UDM, causing Go's URL parser to fail and the AUSF to respond with HTTP 500 internal server errors and leaked stack traces. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this to cause denial of service for all subscribers authenticating through the AUSF. The vulnerability arises from improper input validation (CWE-20) and affects default deployments without configuration changes.
