hashi-vault-js: Vault token and secret values exposed in thrown errors (CVE-2026-55102)CVE-2026-55102 0 The hashi-vault-js library versions prior to 0.5.2 expose Vault tokens and secret values in thrown errors. This occurs because the library rethrows raw Axios errors that include sensitive information such as the X-Vault-Token header and request body data. Applications that log these errors may inadvertently expose sensitive credentials in logs and monitoring systems. A fix is available to redact sensitive data before throwing errors. Users should upgrade to a patched version or sanitize errors before logging. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/13/2026, 14:14:32 UTC Added: 08/13/2026, 17:48:32 UTC |
