GHSA-798h-hpph-m24j: Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins have local privilege escalation using embedded commandCVE-2026-55426 0 Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability due to unsafe use of shell_exec with user input. Specifically, user-supplied arguments are embedded directly into shell commands without proper escaping, allowing command injection. This is especially critical for plugins run with sudo privileges, enabling attackers controlling the nagios user to execute arbitrary commands as root. The vulnerability is fixed by changing the command execution to use argument arrays without shell interpretation, preventing injection. Versions prior to 5.0.0 of linuxfabrik-lib are affected.
