Io.netty:netty codec http: Netty SPDY zlib header block continues decoded expansion after maxHeaderSize truncation (CVE-2026-55833)CVE-2026-55833 0 A vulnerability in the Netty SPDY codec HTTP component allows continued inflation of zlib-compressed header blocks after the raw header parser has exceeded the maxHeaderSize limit and marked the frame as truncated. This can cause a small compressed header block to expand into a much larger raw header, leading to denial of service through excessive CPU and memory usage. The issue affects pipelines using SpdyFrameCodec with no upstream compressed-frame-size or connection-rate limits. Exploitation requires a remote unauthenticated attacker able to send SPDY frames to the vulnerable Netty pipeline.
