n8n: External Secrets Permission Bypass via Expression Parser Mismatch (CVE-2026-59259)CVE-2026-59259 0 A vulnerability in n8n allows an authenticated user with credential create or update permissions, but without the externalSecret:list scope, to bypass permission checks due to a mismatch between static validation and runtime expression parsing. This can lead to unauthorized exposure of secret values at workflow execution time. The issue affects instances using an external secrets provider with Advanced Permissions enabled. Fixed versions are 1.123.61, 2.27.4, and 2.28.1 or later. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/22/2026, 22:21:20 UTC Added: 07/22/2026, 23:22:50 UTC |
