A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's usbip vudc_remove function due to a race condition has been fixed. The flaw could cause the kernel to access freed memory when a timer callback executes after the vudc structure is freed. This issue was reported by Zheng Wang and confirmed by KASAN testing. The vulnerability affects Linux Azure kernel versions prior to specific 7.0.0 builds. A patch is available and should be applied to mitigate the risk.
