A double free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qed driver (qed_cxt_tables_alloc function) was identified and fixed. The issue occurs when certain bitmap allocations fail, leading to a double free of CID bitmaps. This flaw was detected through experimental kernel memory-management analysis and affects specific Linux kernel versions used in the linux-aws product. A patch is available to address the issue by nullifying pointers after freeing to prevent double free errors.
